But its beach is better than Iberostar or Dreams.
The only thing that does not meet you wish on this property is the distance from the airport - it is about 45-50 minutes away from Cancun airport, past Playa Del Carmen. This time we are staying at the newest one called Barcelo Maya Palace which is very luxurious. We already went there in March of this year ( Barcelo Maya Tropical)and 2 years ago ( Barcelo Maya Colonial). Currently, we are booked to stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun for 5 nights and then we are moving onto Barcelo Maqya for 7 nights. Other resort to consider will be Barcelo Maya (FYI, it is a Mega resort). Suite) may be planned better than Dreams with kids. But in my opinion, with children, Iberostar should be the first choice. I believe it is more adult catered and luxurious. If this trip is just two of you with no kids, you probably enjoy Dreams more. Lazy river and wave pool were so much fun! Versus Iberostar was packed with acitivities for the guests of all ages.No need to leave the property and not to forget, their Spa facility is out of this world!!!!They DO have a great kids program as well. That resort was nice but it was too quiet for us since there was absolutely NO day time activities. However, now we have a second thought since this resort is NOT a mega resort and brand new - which is prone for some hiccups.So we are also debating wether we play safe and stay at Iberostar Paraiso Maya or Dreams Riviera Cancun.Dreams seems to be so sedated and it reminds us of Grand Velas in Nuevo Vallarta. We decided to go back to Riviera Maya towards the end of Novemeber - the reason why is 1)Thanksgiving holiday and 2)Dreams Riviera Cancun's Grand opening sale price was right! We went ahead and booked it, and already purchased a round trip tickets as well. This property is so family friendly and there are sooo much to do for everyone! We thought 4 days were simply not enough time to do everything on this 's that huge! We love MEGA resorts and Iberostar IS one of them. We had a BLAST there and we wished we could stay longer (we stayed for 4 days and we have a reviews). I have the same problem except that I have been to Iberostar Paraiso Maya with my husband and then 7 year old daughter few years ago.
